Women's Day Celebration (March 2021)
Women's Day Celebration (March 2021)

At Ayhay Christian School, International Women’s Day is more than just a day of recognition. It is a cherished tradition of fellowship, learning, and encouragement. Every March 8, mothers, grandmothers, faculty, and staff come together to share experiences, exchange ideas, and uplift one another. The event is an opportunity to honor the invaluable role of women in education and society, reinforcing Ayhay’s belief that when we educate a woman, we educate a nation.

A core part of this tradition is inviting guest speakers from the school community. Women who bring diverse skills, talents, and knowledge. Through discussions, testimonies, and interactive sessions, they share practical ways to nurture learning and growth at home. The celebration is also deeply intergenerational, creating a unique space where wisdom is passed between generations, and faith is strengthened through encouragement from the Word of God.

A Tradition of Learning and Sharing

In past celebrations, discussions have focused on integrating Montessori principles into daily life. Mothers and educators lead insightful talks, covering topics such as:

  • Practical Life & Sensorial Activities at Home – By Auntie Najoro, Upper Elementary Guide

  • Applying Language Arts at Home – By Andraina’s Mom

  • Integrating Mathematics & Science at Home – By Johanna’s Mom

  • Challenges of Applying Montessori at Home as a Multitasking Mother – By Alyssia’s Mom

Each session offers valuable strategies for balancing education, parenting, and daily life. Through open discussions and Q&A sessions, mothers share their experiences, struggles, and triumphs in raising and educating their children.

More Than Just a Celebration

This gathering is more than an event. It is a reaffirmation of community, support, and faith. Women uplift one another in their journeys as mothers, teachers, and caregivers, sharing wisdom across generations. As a Christian school, Ayhay values these moments to encourage one another through scripture and faith, reminding every woman of her God-given strength, patience, and love.

A Sweet Ending: Mommy Lanto’s Special Recipe

No Women’s Day celebration at Ayhay is complete without a cherished tradition: the sharing of Mommy Lanto’s special recipe. As the Head of School, Mommy Lanto closes the event with a warm and memorable culinary treat, leaving everyone with a piece of love and comfort to take home.

To all women: Be strong, be loving, be patient. You are making a difference!
